Patricia keeps goals - for the boys

Seventeen-year-old Patricia Lunt of Broomhill, Stoke Poges, was the toast of Slough Grammar School on Monday after she played in goal for them in the annual hockey match against Slough High School, which the boys won 5-1. Said Patricia, "The two sides switched goalkeepers. I suppose they did so because otherwise I'd have got slaughtered". Certainly, 17-year-old Richard Phillips, of London Road, Langley, who kept goal for the girls, saw plenty of action. Kathryn Wyllie, the Bucks Schools County 100 and 200 metres athletics champion, shocked the boys by scoring an early goal but the boys hit back with two goals by Dee Sharma and others by Ian Cairns, Graham Holmes and Sudhir Chawla.
